hard as a rock not easy to hang on all surfaces way overpriced for what is is
So I want to start this review by saying I had doubts. The price was kind of wild to me and I didn't think the product would hold up. After back to back ads and this itch to see if this was a scam or not I bought it. It came in right before my trip to Greece so I was able to test it thoroughly.
This bag doubled as a backpack perfectly. I was able to carry charges, 1 pair of barefoot shoes(foldable), the tarp it comes with, and I honestly could've fit more...like a laptop or something. With it's compact size I was able to use this as a "personal item" when traveling. I just hung my Muay Thai gloves from the straps and walked through MULTIPLE airport security with no issues(US,Greece,Turkey).
Now to the product usage. It can withstand my 300Ibs self going full power on punches and kicks just fine. The set up takes less than five minutes and I was able to do so on the beaches of Naxos Greece on trees/posts nearby. I wouldn't recommend getting sand on it, but even then it handled multiple training sessions just fine. Did I mention it also doubles as a great learning tool for beginners? I used it as a body shield to teach my other half how to kick and punch correctly. Yes, it can turn into a body shield too!
All this to say, I'm sorry to impact for doubting you. Your product is extremely sturdy and even surprised my Muay Thai coach. It was 100% worth every penny and I will continue to use it til it fails(which may be never).
If you're on your martial arts journey and want to be able to train anywhere but have doubts about this bag....please just give it a chance. It's worth it.
The bag is a wonderful martial art tool to have on the go. The only suggestion I would have would be to sell additional buckles and straps on the website. Some areas have larger trees and extra straps are needed in order to secure them properly. I had to find buckles and straps from a 3rd party vendor and construct them manually which was a tedious task itself.
I love it! It really helps when you live in a condo and you don't have space for a bag. Just pack this bag and bring it to the park and train. Great idea for those who want a bag with limited space.
When I saw the ImPak pop up on Kickstarter, all I could think was “finally!…I must have one!”
Jerry(the inventor) has filled a niche that I wish had been filled years ago.
I wish I had thought of it first.
The ImPak is very well made, there’s literally not a stitch out of place.
It’s fast and easy to set up. I’ve set it up on trees in my local park, on a telephone pole in the alley behind my apartment and on a 6 inch I-beam light pole on my local pier.
The contact surface is durable and has remained unscuffed even though I kick it with the soles of my shoes, though I doubt it’s recommended.
I plan on buying some of those indestructible outdoor socks for when I’m hitting it while standing on concrete.
I have also hit it with padded Arnis/Escrima/Kali sticks.
I’m 46 and out of shape, so the goal is to use the ImPak as often as possible to get in my cardio.
Thank you, Jerry, for your creativity and innovation. I’m very happy with your product and will continue to recommend it to all of my Martial Artist friends.
